This is the official interest check page for HOTLINE, a short-run murdergame based loosely around Hotline Miami. If you would like to know more about this setting, please direct yourself to the FAQ/rules page!

You don't have to be on either of the mods' plurklist to fill out this interest form--if there is significant interest in this game, we will consider opening it to the public.

Currently, we're looking to start sometime during April/May, though this may change based on interest. A start date will be announced later after taking into account the schedules of the moderators and potential players. Questions?: Are the masks' powers going to function exactly like in Hotline Miami or are they going to be tweaked or changed completely for this game? Its totally fair if you want to wait till the actual game is up to answer this, though.

The mask powers are overall going to be completely changed/tweaked for this game, as some of the in-game powers are not able to be conveyed through RP, some of them can be overpowered/under-powered when compared to each other (Hotline Miami Example: the Tony (tiger) mask which allows the player to punch people to death vs Nigel (bat) mask which inverts all keyboard controls to make the game more challenging vs Phil (fish) mask which makes everything bad French translation).

Without going into too many specifics, the mask abilities will be loosely tied to what abilities the animals have. We hope that all of the players are able to use these powers in a creative way.
